Islam: Religion of Peace?

Islamic youth in Paris are burning cars and shooting at police. These riots are in their eigth day. And Islamic leaders are asking officials to "Show Respect." Show respect for what? A bunch of thugs who are burning other people's property? These riots are in their eighth day, and yesterday is the first I saw of it in the American media. (Fox News) Scooter Libby gets indicted, it makes front page headlines. Americans find out on the 6:00 evening news that the former head of FEMA referred to himself as a "Fashion God." Democrats don't like Bush's supreme court nominee and its breaking news. However, when members of the "religion of peace" show themselves for what they are, it gets buried with the obituaries. And you want to talk about mishandling of the Katrina situation? How have French officials handled this? Pathetic.
These youths in france that are rioting in the streets and torching people's cars are members of the same religion as Osama Bin Laden. A group of muslim men in Indonesia ambushed a couple of Christian teenage girls on their way to school and slaughtered them. It was muslims who were beheading American journalists and civilian contracters in Iraq. All this to the glory of Allah.
And if France's opposition to the war in Iraq was supposed to appease the muslim community, well, good job (he says sarcastically). Pacifism is not a viable diplomatic tool against an enemy driven by sheer hate - all it does is show weakness in the eyes of the enemy (just ask Spain.)
We are expected to be "tolerant," even when the ones we are "tolerating" are "intolerant" of anybody who is not exactly like them. This fact shows that the "religion of peace" is in fact the religon of tyranny. God help us all if this group of people ever take over the world, as is their intent.

You are right about - it is foolish (absolutely stupid) to be tolerant towards those who are less tolerant of us. These guys need to decide that they as human first, then French (if that is what they want), & then Muslims. But no -all they see is their religion. They have never looked at the history of violence in Islam, forced conversions, etc. Their single-minded dream is of world domination-and they will do ANYTHlNG for it.
But you need to look beyond your own faith too- these Muslims are also killing Buddhists now in Thailand . And the last thing we need is for Christians to get radical about this. Just need to handle these nuts firmly, with determined push-back, be relentless until they are defeated, for good. Reasonable Muslims would convert.
I read today on Fox News's website that the reason these "teens" are angry is because of a police crackdown on drug trafficing. What upstanding citizens these "youths" are.
It never ceases to amaze me how many people buy into this appeasment idea. When has it ever worked? They don't attack us because we're intolerant. They attack us because their religion tells them to take over the world and destroy everything that's not like them.
Did you hear about the Flight 93 Memorial? The winning design, to be built on the site of the crash, is a giant red crescent. Seriously. Just liIt's called the "Crescent of Embrace." Thousands of people have written letters to the National Parks Service, their senators, etc., and were told the desing would be changed, but it's been months and the "Crescent of Embrace" is still on the website. http://www.flight93memorialproject.org/
Go to the slideshow. I'm glad these folks weren't in charge of the Holocaust museum; they would have made it shaped like a swastika.
I stopped watching the news on TV a long time ago, because of the things you mentioned. When the media makes a big deal about someone or some event that you can't believe anyone actually cares about, you can bet something really important (like week-long-plus Muslim riots, Iraqis voting, etc.) is happening that they don't want to talk about.
Oh yeah, they set a woman in a wheelchair on fire. She has severe burns on 30% of her body. Bet that wasn't on the news.
